An AuthenticOpinion. CONVERTED BY EXPERIENCE The Case o^ Mr. D. W. KAYE^ (by a special reporter. ) People have to be converted by experience from an obstinacy of opinion that may be honorable enough in its way, and when such leasons as these are brought to bear upon our intelligence the most obdurate cannot helpbut beconvinced that self interest is to be best served by unreserved co-operation with the advice given by Mr. David Wigley Kaye, of No. 27, Leith-street, Dunedin, which runs as follows : — " I consider that when a person's health is broken down a better medium for restoring one to a sound condition cannot be procured than Clements Tonic." " Have you any particular reason for arriving at that conclusion?" enquired the reporter. " You may depend that I would not maka an assertion of that character unless I did so, on good grounds," replied Mr. Kaye, "a* such statements would have the effect oi misleading, if the statements were not truethe very people that it should be every, body's aim and object to assist. Yes ; I have a particular reason, which is that for aome time I was suffering from a disordered state of my nervous system, and also indigestion. Those are ailments which are common to most people, especially those whose lives are mostly spent indoors, so I io not think it nece«sary to dilate upon tha symptoms to any great extent." ' ' I would like you to toll me some of them," joined in the reporter, " if you can spare the time to do so." " Well, unfortunately, I am rather busy just now, or I would have been pleased to devote more time to the .subject, but as it i 3 one that, when given proper consideration, 3hould result in assisting similar sufferers out of their troubles, I will strain a, point; md give you a few minutes. My system was greatly run down after a rather busy period, and I found myself in that wretched condition when a man feels that he has no life or energy in him. It is by no means a nice state to be in, to feel that the least thing is a trouble, and not to hare th« slightest inclination to do the work thati one knows has to be done. It makes life 4 sontinual drudgery, and when one is suffer-, ing continual discomforts it makes existence itill more wretched. A pronounced depression of spirits accompanied the intensely languid feeling that I was so mucft distressed with, for I seemed to be unable to take interest in anything that was going on. The drowsiness that hung on to me, soon ifter meals especially, was very unpleasant, but I also experienced a considerable amount Df anguish owing to the violent headaches I dad. I could not sleep well, and I got up^ with a bitter taste in the mouth, and feelings of weariness in my limbs as if I had not? been resting at all. Indeed, I was fairly played out and my nerves were all unhinged.^ I could eat but very little, bub that little was quite sufficient to causa % sense of oppression in the chest, and feelings in the stomach as if nothing but wind lad collected there. Between the shoulders md across the loins I had severe pains at Intervals, but what concerned me more than uiything was to find that my strength was iaily diminishing. I had, previously had experience with Clements Tonic, and as it had proven beneficial before, I thought it mighfc Inswer my requirements at the time I speak of."- ff» " So you gave it a trial, I suppose ? " Most decidedly I did, and I could nofi nave done better, nor perhaps half so well, for Clements Tonic quickly pot my internal iisordera to rights, and before long my physical strength was so greatly improved ".hat I could stand any amount of work without feeling any ill effects. On the neri'ous system Clements Tonic had a remarkibly good effect, and I was pleasantly sul> prised to find how well that medicine mado ■ne sleep, while its invigorating qualities Jiove away the miserable feelings of lanzuidness I had suffered from, so effectively ;hat I felt like a new man. Nothing coul£ jnprove upon Clements Tonic for giving a healthy appetite, and I feel sure it stands unequalled as a prompt and effective remedy for indigestion, as all my pam3, including headaches, were expelled, and soon I could eat anything without the least fear of suttertng afterwards. I look upon Clements Tonic as a boon to the public, and you hava my permission to publish these facts of my cure in any way you choose." STATUTORY DECLARATION. 1 David Wiolhy Kayb, of 27 Leith-street, Dunedin, in "the Colony of New Zealand, do solemnly and sinceiely declare that I have carefully veadt the annexed document, consisting of uvo folios, ana consecutn ely numbered from one to tw o, *nd that is contains and is a true and faithful account of niy illness and cure by Clements Tonic, and also contains my full permission to publish in any way my statements - which I give voluntarily, without receiving any payment ; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Ace of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "llae Justicsji of Peace Act, 1883." Declared at Dunedin, this sixteenth day ol March, one thousand uiae hundred and threes before ca% " v R. CHISHOL&I, J.Pr _,
