A Protest Committee consisting of Five Elected Stewards to decide all Protests. Rules ana Regulations. NOMINATIONS for all Handicaps, includ-mg-Trots, close with the Secretary on SATURDAY, Bth April, Entries to state name, age, colour, pedigree of horse, name of owner, and -colours of rider. In Trotting Races the performances have to be sent in. ±La_L\ DICAPS will appear in the Tuapeka Times and Otago Daily Times on 15th APRIL. No horse will be handicapped unless the nomination fee is paid. ACCEPTANCES (and Entries for Maiden Plate) close on WEDNESDAY, 19th April, 1905. Any horse winning an advertised race of the value of £20 to £35 after the weights appear ■will incur a penalty of 10lb, and of over £35 14lb, in the Tuapeka County Handicap, Beau- - mont, Flying, and Farewell Handicaps. The wionexs of these races (except the Farewell) will carry a cumulative penalty of 7lb in the next events they start in at the meeting. If the requisite penalties are not carried, owners ■will.be held responsible. The first and second horses in the Dunkeld Trot may be re-handicapped in the Farewell Trot. Minimum weight for trotters, list. No protest will be considered lodged jii writing with Secretary 10 minutes after the race and accompanied by £2, and in Trotting 'Races £5, which will be forfeited if the protest is not upheld. The New Zealand Rules of Racing and New Zealand Trotting Association Rules will be strictly adhered to, Any person laying totalisator odds or conducting any game of chance will be ordered off the course. Any jockey who does not bring his mount to the starting post at the time advertised in the race books will be fined £1. By entering a horse the nominator and every person having any interest in such horse shall be deenied to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed, or implied by these rules, and to be debarred from questioning any action or conduct of any official of a Trottiug or Racing Club in respect of such horse or of any person connected therewith otherwise than is provided by Rule 93 of *\Rtiles of Trotting."
