II is understood that this amount refers to the estimated cost of the work proposed 'to be carried out by the Waipori Company at the tim<* they sold out to the City Corporation, and embraces the following: — Construction of power Etatum, building sufficient for a. plant of 2000 k.w. capacity j e'.eotric generating plant, consisting of two 1000 k.w. generators, two exciters, seven transformers, and switchboaid, as embraced in the contract let to the General Electric Company by the Waipori Company ; water power plane consisting of two Peltou wheels, units for driving above generatois, also two Peltou wheel uriits for driving above exciters, together with generators and ?11 necessary fittings as, embraced in the contract let to the Pe'icn AVh&al Company by the T^a-ipori Company. The necessary station equipment, such as station wrrhig, lighting fittings.^Brane, etc. Power station building to bs built of concrete. Power transmission line : Overhead power traiiSiris-sioa. lrns, starting a.t the power station at the Waipori Falls, thence via Berwick ,acro3s country to the sub-sta>tion contiguous to Dunedin. situated at Halfway Bush Tha louie of said transmission line being dali.oeated on accompanying plan. No. TSIa. The suppeits- of this power line to consist of steel towels spaced on an average o! 12 to the iaile.
