THE WILLIAMSON 810 -TABLET.
Had a magician in the Dark Ages hit upon the secret of the biograph what wonderful effects he might have created, like another Mark Twain at the court of King Arthur. The crystal globe, the visions in the haze of the magic fire, would have shrunk into utter insignificance before the portrayal of living pictures from every part of the world thrown upon a screen in a darkened room, for though science has performed many wonders, she has clone nothing more marvellous in the popular eye than the reproduction of battles, fires, and moving scenes from every country ou the earth in all their vivid realism. Every year sees the biograph approaching nearer perfection in its maohanism, and the scenes exhibited by it more full and striking in their representation. Mr J. C. "Williamson's Bio-Tableau, which is to be shown at His Majesty's Theatre for the first time in Dunedin to-morrow night, is claimed to be the latest and brightest and most interesting of all which have been exhibited. In choice of subjects the electric photo artists have had a wide range, from the incidents of the .Russo-Japanese war, including the bombardment of Port Arthur, with its mine explosions, fire boats, and battleships in action, the great Temple procession at Nikko, the great Toronto fire, the thrilling Gordon-Ben-nett motor race, winter sports throughout the world, and numerous other intensely interesting subjects. The Bio-Tpbleau has been doing great business throughout Australia, and an added success is anticipated for it in this city. In view of the Firemen's Carnival, several special novelties will be introduced, including during the season a graphic series of the various fire brigades at work, which will be taken by Mr Williamson's special staff of English operators. Of this due announcement will be made. At the matinees announced, beginning on Wednesday next, there will lie a special programme of great interest to the little ones and of educational value to all classes. The advent of Mr Williamson's Bio-Tableau is being eagerly looked forward to.
