AUCKLAND RETURNS. AUCKLAND, January 18.

Kow that the returns for the year from the leading mines mthe Ohinemuri County are pretty well completed it is interesting to note the results. The figures for the various companies are as follow : — Waihi : Total output to date, £3,817.393; total for 1904, £643,997. Talisman Consolidated: Total output to ciate, £317,786; total for 1904, £84,826. New Zealand Crcwn Mines- Total to date, £58,207; total to November (December to come), £32,002. Komata Reefs: Total to date,? £140,133 ; total for year, £34,133 Waitekauri. Total to date, £361,675; one crushing this year, £4612. The total output from these five mines in the Ohinemuri County for 1904 therefore amounts to £799,560, with still a return to come in, while the total output to date is £5,229,055. The manager -of the Waiotahi Gold Mining Company telegraphed to-day that he had finished retorting for a yield of 3210z of retorted gold. This would give a value of about £874 10s. The return is probably from the general ore in course of treatment. No general clean up will take place until the end of the month. The total for the year, including these two additional returns, was £3364 5s 3d. The return of 3210z above noted is not included m the 1904 figures.
