A visitor to Oam aru informs the Mail that the Southland oat crop will be very late this year on account of the unseasonable weather. The amount grown is comparatively small, and it is expected that the order of things will be reserved next year — Southland drawing cheap oats from the north, instead of bearing- down the market with unlimitd supplies.
