THE PREMIER ON THE WEST COAST.

(Fitou Oub Own Coepespondznt.) GREYMOUTH, January 1. On arrival at Greymouth the Premier was met by the Hon. A. R. Guiness, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and member for the district, the Mayor of Gi'eymouth, Chairman of the Grey County, Chairman of the Harbour Board, and the Chairman of the Westland County Council, together with a large- number of friends and residents of the town and country. After a welcome and the season's greetings had been extended the Premier was invited to the Royal Hotel, where the Mayor andt Chairman of the Grey and Westland! Counties officially welcomed the Premier to the Coast, and his health was toasted in orthodox West Coast style. The Premier Suitably replied. In the afternoon Mr Seddon paid a visi.t to Kumara to see an old friend who is seriously ill. He wil spend a week on the Coast, and then return to Wellington, via Westland and Netaon.
