\ At Adelaide on December 15 a man - named John Mack was committed for trial; on a charge of having stolen £18 from. Alfred Schulz on December '8. From the evidence- it appeared that Sohulz was afc Port Adelaide, his' intention being to oome to New Zealand, and the accused, who was informed of the prosecutor's intention, represented that he had a station between Auckland and Wellington, and that he would let Schulz do some work for himv On the strength of these- repersentations, ib was alleged, Mack obtained £18 from Schulz, promising to return it a few minutes later.
