Fat Cattle.— Only 80 head were yarded, consisting ohiefly of light-weight, medium-quality bullocks, with odd pens of prime and heavy, and a few cows and heifers. The demand was good, and prices, compared with last week, were a shade higher, but, notwithstanding the small yarding, it ultimately proved sufficient for requirements'. Best bullocks brought £10 to £10 15s; good, £9 to £9 15s; medium and light, £7 10s to £8 10s ; best cows and heifers, £6 10s to £8; others, £4 10s ta £5 ss. Prices for prime wethers were a shade higher than last week, , while medium- sorts were about the same. "" Local stocks are not large, and most shipping orders are being supplied direct from coxintry stations. Prime milling, Is 7d to Is 8d; good to best feed, Is 5Jd to Is 6Jd, medium, Is 4d to Is 5d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat: No business of any importance has- been passing in milling qtialjty. Stocks are -lot great, but millers have a fair quantity of flour on hand, and are at present holding off the market. Fowl wheat is in smaller compass, and. has fair demand both locally and for export. Prime milling, 3s 6d to 3s 8d; medium, 3s 2d to 3s sd; whole fowl wheat, 3s to 3s Id; broken and damaged, 2s 6d to 2s lOd per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff — Prime oaten sheaf is in good demand. Limited supplies are arriving, and these are readily "quitted at late values. Medium and discoloured lots are not in request. Best oaten sheaf, £3 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d ; extra bright and heavy, to £4 ss; medium to good, £3 10s to £3 15s per ton (bags extra).
