DUNEDIN FANCIERS' CLUB.

At the weekly meeting of th© Dunedin Fanciers' Club, held at Mr S. S. Myer.'sroom at the Octagon, there was a full muster of the committee — 19 in all, including the president (Mr J. A. Park) — present. Amongst the . more important business j ■transacted was the nomination of suitable men to act as judges, the secretary being instructed to write asking terms and the classes which could be taken. A committee was appointed to arrange for a hall for the approaching championship show, and in compliance with wishes expressed at the annual meeting a sub-committee was appointed to arrange /and submit revised rules for the club. It was reported by the Secretary that prize tickets; according to the new design were now lying at his office for distribution. The secretary was instructed' to inform the Kennel Club of the dases fixed 'for the show, and io ask- for a copy of its balance sheet. Two or three members of the club undertook to inquire as to cost and means of 100 canary cages- suitable for "show^purp'osc*. AT report was received from delegates' representing the club at the annual meeting of the South Island Association as to tho proceedings thereat. It was' decided to hold a three-days' show for all sections, and to open to the public at 3 p.m. on the first day. It was decided to deposit a portion of the club' 6 funds at interest in the Post. Office Sayings Bank. Mr -E. Webster was elected a vice-president of the club, and Mr R. A. Crawshaw was re-elected secretary for the ensuing year. Amongst the correspondence received was a letter from Mr G. M. Burlinson complaining pf the judge's action in not awarding a prize- -"for Favorelles shown by him, and threatening to take legal proceedings against Ihe club. The" letter was received, the secretary being .instructed to reply that according to tho rules of the club the judge's action' was final. A letter was read from" the secretary of the South Island Association asking for names of judges, and forwarding a list of championships.
