After to-day's sale at Homebush there will be no further sale till next Thursday. ' Sheep improved in value. Very few crossbreds were offering. Wethers, fair quality, sold at 15s to 16s 6d; ewes, 15s to 16s 6d. Cattle were slightly easier. Best bullocks, £9 10s to £10 2s; good, £S 10s; best cows, £7 ss; good, £6 10s. Beef, 22s 6d per. 1001b. MELBOURNE, December 22. Hides: The closing sales of the year were very animated, and previous quotations were fully maintained. Prime stouts, 7d to 8d; stout, 6Jd to 7d; heavy, 4Jd to s£d; average medium, 4£d to 4|d. Tallow rates are unchanged.
