| programme of th© Defence Forcee Rifle Association meeting afc Trentham in j March next has been issued. The championship series will consist of five matches, open to all members of defence forces, and a final match for the 50 highest in the fore- \ going to decide the winner of the championship. There will be 227 prizes in the series, with a money value of £4-37, exclusive of , the champion belt and medals. All restrictions as to the use of wind gauges md other appliances in those matches have been removed. The second series will consist of four service matches, in which the vse o£ appliances is forbidden. The prize money will total £224. The third scries will consist of two special matches for Volunteers. There will be 70 prizes, of the value of £100. The fourth series will consist of three ' long-distance matches, and 84 prizes, of the value of £105 There will also be four team matches, for which £88 is allotted.
