• 'The Waihola Caledonian Society held its an•Btial sports gathering at Waihola on Monday. 'There were over 100 persons on the ground, jmd emosg those' present were not a few visitors. The -weather was all ' ihat could be iiesiredj-and the gathering throughout was a thoroughly -enjoyable one. Some members of _ ihTe Dnnedin Citizens' Band were present and played some enlivening music. The members t>f the committee, headed by Messrs P. Grey ,»nd A Paterson, secretary and treasurer respectively, all worked arduously in carrying mrt the somewhat lengthy programme. The following are the events and their -winners : — 100 yds Maiden.
