Whereas by and under the provisions of "Th© Education Act, 1877,'" the EducaI tion Board of a district has power to promote the establishment of school districts, and to define the- limits thereof; and has power also to alter" such limits as to divide any school district into two or more school 1 districts, or parts of such districts into one; and whereas it is expedient 'to promote the establishment of the school districts of Ardgowan, Owaka Valley, and Moa Creek, The Education Board of the District of Otago doth hereby resolve to establish the school districts of Ardgowan, Owaka Valley, and Moa Creek, and the same are hereby established, with the limits and boundaries hereinafter appearing, that is to say :" — ARDGOWAN SCHOOL DISTRICT. All that a<rea bounded on the north by Sections 90, 91, and 92, Block I, Papakaio Survey District ; on the east by Sections 94-, 96, and 97, Block I, Papalkaio Survey District; again on the north by part- of Section 97, same District, and again on the east by Sections 72, 69, 66, and part of 61 to the north-eastern corner of Section 1 of 58 ; thenre on to the south by said Section 58, and again on the east by part of said section 58 ; again on the south by Section 57, of Block I, Oamaru Survey District; thence on the east by a road," being the wes-fcern boundary of sections 57, 55, 54, 53, 52, and part of 51, Block I, Oamaru Survey District, to the north-east corner of Section 58, Block 11, Oamaru Survey District; then on the south by said Section 58, and on the west by part of Section 54 ; again _>n the south by parr of Section 54. lo the south-easterir corner of Allotment 106, Ardgowan Estate ; thence on the west by said Allotment 106, 105, 103, 101, and to the north-eastern corner of said Allotment 100 ; thence by a road 1 line from that point to the north-weatern corner of Allotment 97, Ardgowan Estate; thence by a direct northerly line to the eouth&rn boundary of Block XIII, Oainaru Survey District ; thence in an. easterly direction by the southern boundary of Block XHI to a road line at corner of Education reserve, being Section 2 of 67, Block IT, Oamaru Survey District; thence in a northerly direction by said read line io starting point at south-westeri? corner of Section 90, Block I, Papakaio Survey District. OWAKA VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT. All thsft area bounded on the- north by the northern, boundary of Block VII, Catlins Survey District, and part of Block 11, to the south-eastern corner of Section 10; thence oa the west by Section 10, and a road line to the north-western boundary of ( Section 5, Blodk DI ; ■ thence by the noi-th-eaetern boundaries of Sections 6, 7, and 13, Block 11, thence by the- boundary of Block II; thence on the east by the eastern boundary of Block I to the Owaka River ; thenoo by the Owaka River to the western boundary of Section 12, Block IX, Catlins; thence by the western boimdaries of section? 47, and the southern boundary of the same Section, and part of Section 46 ; thenoe on the east by the •western boundary of Sections 57 and 58. and on the south-east by Sections 108, 82, and 83 ; thenoe on the> south by a road line to the boundary of ' Block I, Catlins, and, by the southern boundaries of Blocks I and Vll, •Catlins; thence on the wiesfc by the eastern boundary of Block V, Catlins, to the starting point. MOA CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT. All that area bounded' on the north-east by sections 29, 28, 27, 26, and 25, Block V, Tiger Hill Survey District; thence by Sections 15 and 14, Block IV, .same district; thence by the boundary of Section 2, Block 11, Pcolburn Survey District, to a line running east and west through trig station J to the boundary of the. Pool'burn Siirvey District; thence on the south by parts of the Poolburn and Tiger Hill Survey Dis- j tricts; thenoe on the west by a straight line running through trig stations A and L ; and thence on the north-west by a direct line to the. extreme northern corner of Section 24, Block V, Tiger Hill Survey District. The Education Board of the District of Otago doth further resolve to alter the Boundaries of the following School Districts, and f ho boundaries are accordingly altered as follows: — OAMARU NORTH SCHOOL DISTRICT. All the area bounded on the north-east by part of Section 1 of 61, 37, 38, and 41, Block I, Oamaani Survey District, to the- sea coast, on the south-east by the ocean, on the south-west by Eden street, Town of Oamaru, to the town boundary ; thence by part of Section 29, Block IV, Oamaru Survey District ; thence on the west by the Oamaru Stream to the southern boundary of Section 53, Block 11, Oamaru Survey District; thence on the north by part Section 53, on the east by part of Section 59, and afgain on the north by .Section 59 to a road line, being boundary between Blocks I and 11, Oamaru Survey District ; thence on the west by said road line to the south-western corner of Section 59, Block I. Oamaru Survey District ; again on the north by Section 59 and 60, and again on the -\vesfc by part of said Section 60 to the starting point. TOTARA SCHOOL. DISTRICT. All thait area bounded towards the north generally by Sections 64, 41, 38, 14, Block V, OaTTiaru Survey Distriec, and by a road line, being the- northern boundary of the said Block and Block IV ; towards the east by a read line, being the eastern boundaries of Sections 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, and by 42, said Block TV; towards the- south-east by the ocean ; towards the south by Sections 31, 20, and 9, Block VI, Oamaru Survey District ; thence by the Waiardka Creole to the cornea- of Section 32 ; thenoe by sections 32 and 31 to the cotner of Sections 30 and 27. part of 26, and Sections 13, 12, 11, 10, and 8, Block VII, Camaru Survey District, to the Kakanui River ; on the west by the' Kakanui River to a road line between Sections 18 and 19 to the Waiareka Creek ; thence by the Waiareka Creek to the starting point. PUREKEREKI SCHOOL DISTRICT. All that area bounded on the north by Blocks VI and VII, Warepa District, and by a road Hue through Block IX, said District, to the- Littlo Puerua Stream ; on the south-oast by said stream, to the southeast corner of Section 36, Block IX, Catlins Survey District; thence by the southern boundaries of Sections 36, 34-, and 35; thence by the north-east and north-tv-estera boundaries of Section 49, and a
