REPORTS FROM WORKING DREDGES
The secretary of the Paterson's Freehold Gold Dredging Company reports th". following returns for last week:— No. 1 dredge, 220z 15dwt; No. 2 dredge, 230z. • The secretary of the Nokomai Hydraulis Sluicing Company reports a r return of 2550z sclwt as the result or operations carried on since November 18. ' The secretary of the Lady Roxburgh Company reports a return of 340z Sdwt for the week. Owing to the drift the dredge got over less ground than usxial. The secretary of the Chicago Company reports a return of 60oz 7dwt for 118 hours' work.' He also wired that the prospects were still good. The secretary of the New Fairdown Company reports a return of 9oz 15dwt for 12S hours work. The local director wired that the dredge was engaged in opening oxit after turning. The prospects were improving. The secretary of the Garden Gully Company -reports a return of 260z 2dwt for 130 hours' work. The dredgemaster wired that the dredge -had~ stopped on Friday for boiler-inspection. • Tlie secretary of the Waikaia Company reports a return of 13oz 15dwt for 130 hours' work. The dredgemaster wired that he had dropped another 100 ft of the face next the freehold.
The secretary of the New Roxburgh Jubilee -Company reports a return of lloz 19dwt foT 120 hours' work. The dredgernaster wired that he had shifted the dredge. & return of 220z is reported from the Golden Run dredge for 100 hours' work last week. The dredgemaster reported that he had stopped for repairing and overhauling.
