HORI KINGI TE ANAUA. This old chief rendered valuable assistance to the Government during the Taranaki war. He accompanied General Ohute on his famous march through the dens£ bush round the foot of Mount Egmont from the Hawera district to New Plymouth in 1866. He died in Taranaki in 1868.
