Mocassin is still running out in the paddock, and wil 1 . not joxirney-to the West Coast. In consequence of all C. Pritchard's boxes being engaged, Moccasin may be given to Mr M'Grath, of OpaJri, to train.
The Manawatu Racing Club having notified the owners of Ropa and Coxswain that they would not be allowed on the course, these horses have been withdrawn from the meeting.
H. Goodman informed me to-day that there was nothing definitely decided' with reference to him leaving the Hutt, and going to Hastings to tram.

P"ritchai"d' will take Matuku and Levant to Manawatu, -and send Black Squall, Kudu, and Fireball to Martinboiough. It was intended to give the Tasman — Capucine gelding, which has been named Te Kanui, & run at T&uberenikau, but he will not make his reappearance until later on.
Whangamoana is now being trained by Harry 'l'elford, and will probably start in the hurdJe races at Manawatu. Mr Jorgenson tired of the Mahaki gelding, and gave him to Teiford to train. The latter has taken up Promotion again. The Soult colt appears likely to stand a preparation. Togos was sent home to his owner at Petone.
Alf. Shearsby has started as a public trainer at Levin, and has Rapids and Vigoxo to start with. Guelder Rose is now trained by J. H. Prosser at Porirua.
Coxswain will firobably make the trip to Hastings for the Hawke's Bay meeting at NewYear time.
W. Davis has Balla.rat and St. Vyfinifred going strong. This pair wilfi be raced at Manawatu.
Jeanne d'Albret will do the Manawatu-Bulla trip. Her near fore fetlock joint is enlarged, and causing Kingan some trouble. Umslopogaas went wrong in his bad leg recently' and will probab y be pensioned off for good. " Defoe left for the West Coast on Monday last in charge of his owner, J. Hogg. A. M'Connon accompanied the gelding, and will ride him in his engagements. Defoe ran considerably below his track form at Fei.umg, but with Magnificent, who may be reserved for fiat events, out he may pay his way on the Coast. Mr Hogg did weL there last autumn with Levant.
