Notes from Cromwell.

(From Oue Own Cobkestondeht.)

CROMWELL, December 9. The weather is very warm and the river i 9 not falling much yet, but if the weather continues it wJi likely fall fast after New Tear. The Rise and Shine No. 1 dredge is on very good wash, now, and will stop for a few weeks* overhaul on Saturday. The wonderful run this dredge has had for the last- 12 months (which is the best for Otago, I think, this year) speaks well for the management and crew. The punt dredge made a start down o© Tuesday, and should fee c.3 til© clfijsa $9 Satusday..
