NEW HALFWAY HOUSE COMPANY.

The annual general meeting of the New Halfway Houses Gold Dredging Company was held at the company's registered office on Thursday afternoon. Mr A. James presided, and a Quorum of shareholders was present.

The report and balance sheet were adopted without discussion, the Chairman stating that as a general meeting had been helld on October 37, when the position of the company was explained, it was unnecessary for him to now go into any explanation further than to say that the dredge was making steady progress towards the- new claim, and would be on that claim next week.

It was resolved, that the number of directors be fonr,^ and the remuneration of each be 12gs per annum.

Mr Thompson was unanimously re-elected to the board of directors, and Mr Davidson was re-elected auditor.
