THE NEW ZEALAND LOAN
A SUCCESSFUL FLOTATION.
LONDON, December 6. The New Zealand million loan of 4 per cent, is quoted at % per cent, premium.
December 7.
The "New Zealand 4 per cent, million loan closed with applications exceeding £2,500,000.
December 9.
The total applications for the New Zealand loan of one million was 1612, amounting to. £2,526,000. Those up to £300 were allotted in full, those above receiving 35 per cent.
"WELLINGTON, December 8-
The closing date for receiving tenders foi? the New Zealand million loan was the^Sth inst. After' 1600 applications had been*'reeeived and £2,500.000 applied for the Agentgeneral, after consultation with t)~ ■ Bank of England and the loan agents, d.-ided to close the applications on Monday last, two days before the time fixed. Had the original date for closing been adhered to the sum applied for might have reached four millions.
