CALEDONIAN v. GREEN ISLAND,
The match between the Caledonian and Green Island Clubs was played on. the Caledonian Green on Saturday. The green having been rolled and cut beforo ihe heavy storm came on allowed the gamo to be played. At the start the gTeen played heavy, but improved as the ga-ine proceeded, and towards the close became almost keen. The home team won by a majority of 9 points. Mx Dawson (president of the Caledonian Cmb, welcomed the visitors, and said he was surprised to find that the game could be started after such heavy rain. Mr Smith (president of the- Green Island Club) replied on behalf of the 'visitors. Mrs and Miss Torrance provided afternoon tea, which was vory much appreciated; by one and all.
