THE WESTPORT MINING EXHIBITION.
WESTPORT, December 12.
At a meeting of the committee of the Westport Mining and Industrial Exhibition to-night it was shown that entries were coming in very freely for the Christmas week exhibition. One of the exhibits of woollen goods is valued at over £500. The ohairman stated that machinery and models would be worked by gas, steam, wator, and electric power. Several entries have also been received for the cricket tournament run in connection with the exhibition, and for which an anonymous donor has presented a large handsome silver cup and the committee gold medals.
