NORTH OTAGO FLOWER SHOW.

(Fbom. Oue Own Correspondent.)

OAMARU, December 8.

The North Otago Horticultural Society's show was held to-day, the entries being very satisfactory and the show as a whole a good one. The season has been anything but favourable to florists, and competition for Mr R. O. Campbell's rose cup was confined to two exhibitors, Mr John M'Laren, of Oamaru, beating Mrs H. LeCren. of Timaru, for the trophy. As a whole the show of pot plants was not large, though good pelargoniums and ferns were shown. Of the cut flowers there was a large show, and the decorative sections attracted very large entries, some capital exhibits being forward.
