LAKE COUNTY A. AND P. SHOW.
The first annual show of the recentlyformed Lake County A. and P. Association was held on Wednesday / under the most favourable conditions. The entries totalled 400, and, the day being beautifully fine, the attendance of over 1000 was representative of the- whole district, and included visitors from Cromwell, Gibbston, Kawarau Gorge, -and Southland. The sum of £40 was taken at the gates. The Queenstown Brass Band played a number of selections on' the ground during the day, and a, piper also enlivened' 4h» -proceedings with some' well-executed contributions. In thj-e horse section the entries numbered 176, and the quality of the exhibits in this, as in most other classes, was highly spoken of by the judges. The arrangements in connection with the- show were well carried out by the officers of the association, who did not spare themselves in personally discharging the duties allotted to them.
