WALLACE 1. AND P. SOCIETIES SHOW. {Fbou Our Own CpßßssroNDEire.) ' INVEROARGELL, Norember 30. The. recently-formed "Walk©© A. and P. Association held its first show sA Otautau to-day^,' and was favoured 1 "with- magnificent' weather. It is over 10 years since a show eras held at Otautau:" Arrangements were then made for the "Western Districts A. and f. Association to hold its show at Riverton, Thornbury, and Otautau. alternately, r but , Otautau 'had only one turn. Some months ago endeavours were again made by -the Otautau district people to have the Western District show hold in their town, but after considerable apparently successful negotiation the arrangements fell through, and. the residents of the North-western District determined to. form an association of their own.- This resolve has been -fully justified by results, for ihe show /was a great success in point of entries, quality of- exhibits,- and »ttendanc» of the- public. In draught horses the eniries totalled 100, in light- horses 139, in cattle 38, in sheep 75^. in pigs- 9, and in dairy produce 185. The horses -were- magni- v ficent, as "edsb was the dairy products, the show of butter boing- much superior, to c6untry J shows generally, and in the opinion of many quit© -equal to Ihvercargill. The" entries in' ham and bacon were extremely satisfactory^ but the "cheese exhibits were very meagre. - The entries in th© homemads bread and scones were very* numerous and of good quality.
