LADIES' GOSSIP.
— Lady Alice Fergusson gave birth to her first son in the last Aveek of September at Sir James Fcrgusson's house in Com-/\rall-gardens, and mother and son are both doing well. Lady Alice, who is the second of Lord and Lady Glasgow's three daughters, is married to Colonel Charles Fergusson, of the G-renadier Guards, eldest son and heir of Sir James Fergusson, of Kilkerran, and late AdjutantGeneral of the Egyptian Army, also a former Governor of N^w Zealand. Lady Alice is clever, musical, and accomplished, like both her sisters. The three sisters spent five years of their girlhood in New
graceful gown of grey crepe de chine, and pretty toque. Her bridesmaid, Miss L. Wright, was gowned in green linen, and wore a black picture hat. The ceremony was performed by Rev. G-. P. Davy, and Mr A. S. Ballance acted as best man. Subsequently a reception was held at the residence of Mrs Holmwood, K.elburne.
