The monthly meeting ol th& Dunedin Jockey Club Committee, held on Ohiesday, 39tih ult., was - attended by the Hon. G. M'Lean (in the ,chadr), Mesans Gow, Taggart, Hazlett, Miller, Thorn- > ■on and Myers.' Apologies met»'xeeeived imm Messrs Solomon and Hanlon. into a case of alleged foul riding in the Stewards' Handicap at its meeting on the 9th November, in which J. Rae and B. M'Eldowney were cautioned. A letter was received from Mr G. Ruthven, owner of one of the horses in the race, asking that the matter be further inquir-jd into.— lt was resolved that the ca3e be referred back to die Taieri Club for further investigation, as the complaint seemed to be aerious. Dx Hali wrote acospting the position of one of tbe club's honorary surgeons.
