WYNDHAM A. AND P. SHOW,
(Fbom 6ub. Own Coebespondent.)
INVERCARGILL, December 6. The Wyndham A. and P. Society held its twenty-sixth annual show to-day in splendid weather. The total number of entries were on a par with last year, and there was no marked increase or decrease in any of the various classes. Draxight horses were well represented, showing there are some fine specimens in. this district. The light horse section was the feature of the «how, j and competent judges were loud in their praise of this class, which, was the largest \ on the ground, and coutained some splendid beasts. The cattle entries were up to the average, and some nice animals were shown. The sheep shown were good specimens of the various classes. In the dairy- produce department, too, the exhibits were worthy of- mention, and for home baking the competition was particularly keen and the en- j tries numerous. Mr M'Nab's farm motor : was on exhibition, and was a centre of at- | traction during the day. Although, th© j Implement Combine did not patronise the show, some local manufacturers had their wares on exhibition. The at the gate exceeded last year's by close on £10. The management worked hard to make the : show the success it undoubtedly was, and the- secretary (Mr W. J. Curric) was courtesy itself. The following is the prize list:— j HORSES. Draughts.
