BROAD BAY.

A concert, held at Broad Bay on Thursday, ■was attended by a large number of Peninsula residents. The Rev. H. Ramsbottom, who preeided, gave an address, and the Rev. J. Ward, of Cargill road, also addressed those present. The following assisted in the concert programme: — Instrumental duet, Misses and Mr Clarke; song ("The gift"), Miss Bacon; song X'"The land o' the leal"), Miiss Christie; reading» Mr Thompson; recitation. Miss Maude Scott ; song (" River of "years"), Miss prawley ; song " Dreaming as she sleeps"), Miss Barkxnan; bombardon solo, Mr P. Moss; song (" Anchored"), Mr Dickson ; duet, Miss and iMr Clarke ; reading," Mr Barton ; vocal duet (" The minute gun at sea.), Miss Christie and Mr Dickson. Refreshments were handed xound during the evening, and a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to those who assisted in carrying out an enjoyable programme.
