DUNFDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club Committee, held on Tuesday, 25th ult.. was attended by Messrs S. Solomon (in the chair), Gow, Taggart, Bullock. Mills, Coughlan, Myers, Thomson, Miller, and Hanlon. L. S. Lloyd wrote 'asking permission to be allowed to work in a training stable until his disqualification expires. — Application declined. The transfer of b c Euclid fiom F. Holmes to C. J. Sloman v/as approved. The Kurow "Jockey Club wrote stating that at -its meeting on the 6th a complaint was lodged by Mr Xi. A. Munro that W. H. M'Kay (jockey) deliberately pulled his horse Dandola in the District Hack Race. A meeting of the judicial stewards was held on the 17th, when evidence was taken (copy forwarded). After consideration it was deoided to disqualify M'Kay for one month from 17th for not doing his beat to win with Dandola; the other charges made by Mr Munro were not proved. — After careful consideration it was resolved : ' Thai in the opinion of this committee the evidence is insufficient to support the conclusion arrived at by the Kurow Clvb — viz., that 'Kay did not do "his best to win the District Hack Eace." Mr "W. Charters was unanimously elected a member of the committee in place of Mr Carr, resigned. I The following licenses have been granted ; since last meeting: — Trainers: J. Lawson, H. J. Carr, L. Smith, W. M'Gallan, M. Murray, G. Tripp, E. Emerson, E. Eankin. Jockeys : E. Wilson, H. Tounson, W. Buddicomb, J. P. Boyle, J. Winkfield,cW. Ratcliff, J. Pagan, J. Hendrick, T. Blee. The Band Committee reported having accepted the tender of the Kaikorai Band for the season. — Approved.
