CANTERBURY.

A meeting of the Greenpavk branch was held on July 26, Mr J. A. Pannett in the chair. The members present said that they intended hearing the lectures at the Agricultural College given by 3l_- W. J. Colebatch and Professor Lowrie» — The meeting expressed approval of the Farriers Act, considering that blacksmiths should be registered; and also approved of Government grading under the Products Export Act. The Motukarara branch met on July 26, Mr J. C. C. Gebbie presiding. — It was resolved to support the establishment of a mutual firo insurance company. — A lecture was given by Mr W. Colehafcch, M.R.C.V.S., on the treatment of farm horses and the remedies which a farmer should kee-D in case of accident or disease. — Those present expressed their intention of attending all the lectures atthe Agricultural College, Lincoln, which are to be given by Mr W. Colebatch and Professor Lowrie."
