NATIONAL BANK OF NEW ZEALAND
The local manager of the National Bank of New Zealand advises that, a cable has been received from lh" London Board stating that the n'eeting of shareho'dera took r-lace m Xiondon on Tuesday, the slh inst., and passed off satisfactorily. The meeting approved and adopted the recommendat'on of (he directors as to the allocation of profits, it being as follow: — The declaration of a dividend of S per cent, for the half-year, and a. bonus to shareholders of 2 per cent., equalling 12 per cent, in a'l for thci year to March 31 last; tlie pum of £30,000 to be added to the ie*erve fund, making it ;£210,00J, and £8400 to bs carr.ed forward; an allocation of £5000 in reduction of the brink pre.vi be«;b c« ; to the pension fu>:d an.l t-rantnig ihe staff a boi-us of 11 per cent, on salaries.
