FOR BOYS AND GIRLS.
[Conducted by Magister, to whom all comrnunicaticns must be addressed.] My contribution to-day largel/ consists of an article fiom the Journal of Education, an American weekly for teachers. The first of January next scc-s the introduction of the new syllabus, and, as many teachers are thinking of introducing Nature study, Irom time to time I'll give occasional articles on the subject culled from the latest educational journals at my command In "Outline of Bird Study" I think rhac the headings may be supplemented' by two more — vi food, and vn gexeral remarks. Perhaps, however, the Professor is going to follow up this article by another : if so, I'll give it when it comes out. At the coining annual meeting of the Otago Educational Institute Nature study is to bulk largely. Perhaps thors tyre some country teachers or pupils who can let me have pretty full notes on the tui, the bell bird, 01 other of our New Zealand feathered friends.
