PALMERSTON STOCK SALE.
Messrs Wright, Stfephenson, and Co. report ! as follows: — Sheep: There was a small entry, I prices for which were good. We sold consigni ments on account of Messrs Donald Muuro and j Hector Ross, both of Palmerston. The prices realised were as follow : Fat sheep, 18s to 20s ; store wethers, 16s 6d to 17s 6d; lambs, 11s 3d to 12s lid. Cattle : There was a fair yarding^ and prices all round, with the exception of those ruling for dairy cows, were decidedly easier. We offered stock on account of Messrs Geo. Cross (Glen Park), W. Dempster (Waikouaiti), Adam Sutherland (Stoneburn), L. Brown (Palmerston), and W. H. Glover (Dun- | back). We obtained for dairy cows at drop, £5 I 10s to £7 10s; spring calTers, £4 to £6; store I cows, £2 10s to £4 10s ; calves, 13s 6d to 38s 6d.
