OTAGO LAND BOARD.

The usual weekly meeting of the Otago Land Board, held on Wednesday, was attended by Mr D. Barron (Cbnimissioner of Crown Lands), Messrs H. Clark, J. Duncan, W. Dallas, and H. H. Kirkpatfick. C. de Keya's application for a license to cut flax on Run No. 433, Upper Hawea district, ' was referred to the, ranger for report. George Henry applied to purchase an area of about six acres north of section 63. block 111, Tuapeka West district.— Government to be recommended to allow Mr Henry lo acquire this land under clause 115 of the Land Act; survey fees to be deposited. J." Jjangmuir and S. Bailey's application for a grazing license over section 34, block IX, [Woodland district., was declined; to be reopened at reduced valuation of £80 16s 3d. A number of settlers at Kelso wrote objecting to James Edgar's. application for a grazing license over river reserve and swamp land adjoining, his property, Kelso. — Held over. ' The application by Charles Waide, sen., for section 7t7 t block. Xll, Tarras district, under pcoiipation-with-right-of-purchaee tenure was referred to Ranger M'Kenzie for report. .Laurence Ryan^ on behalf of J. C. Thompson, wrote withdrawing his application for an occupation lease under " The Mining Districts ■ [Land Occupation Act, 1894," over six acres at Galloway Flat, Leaning Rock district.— Heceived. "Mr M. M"Lean reported on the application T>y W. F. li»bes for a grazing license over five acres -of the mining reserve in block VI, Tuapeka West district. — A grazing license over ivve acres was granted at a rental of Is per 'acre. ' . Mr M. M'Lean reported on the application by James Ross for a grazing license over 20 acres of the mining reserve in block VI, Tua'jpeka West district. — Grazing license over 14 seres granted as per plan forwarded by Mr M'Lean at a rental of Is per acre. John Leamy, wrote - with reference to tha application by Alfred Pinn to transfer, section 14, rblock VI," Lauder district to him.— Held over. .
