Mr Cotton's Elected won the champion prize for blood stallions at the show, and Mr. Mills's Belmont that for trotters. .New Zealand-bred horses figured in -the. programme. Almont took tihe reserve for champion trotters, Clan Mac Donald for champion heavy draughts, and Koyalist the second reserve champion for blood mares ; the reserve champion went to Wheaten. Mr A. J. Grant (New Zealand) was .awarded £rst prize for -two-year-old shorthorn bull. There was no other exhibitor in this section. tAt the show cattle sales Mr James Iteid, of New Zealand, paid 145 guineas for a young shorthorn bull from the Angus stud. Mr Reid's bull the Student was sold for 161 guineas, and Mr Robert Allen's two polled Angus cows at 17 guineas eacbl
