RECORD SHOOTING.
OAMARU, April 4.
In a rifle match to-diay at the Headquarters range Colour-sergeant M'Kenzie, of the Queen's Rifles, put on the possible at the 200 and 500 yards ranges (Bisley targets). He scored 100 with 20 shots. This is believed to be a record fcx the colony.
ALEXANDRA GOLF CLUB,
The annual meeting of the Alexandra G-olf Club was hold on March 28, when the following office-bearers were elected : — Preside**, Mr L. B. Griznstone; vice-presidents — Dr Gregg, A. J.- Campbell, and J. G. O'Kane; committee — Messrs W. Murray. J. A. O'Kane, and F. Young; secretary, Mr J. R. Barthlomew. It was decided to open the season on April 21 with a combined foursome. There is every indication of a most successful season. The links will ba improved, and afford more variety than in previous years. Visiting golfers will be at all times heartily welcomed.
