The bowling tournament began to-day in splendid -weather, and with 128 bowlers takingpart. The two greens "were in' splendid order, and the playing was in consequence very good. Prince, of New Zealand, disposed of his opponents in the first and second rounds. Gibson won his heat in the second round. Biish was defeated in the first round, and Notman forfeited in the second round. April 4. The New Zealand bowlers were unsuccessful to-day. The Championship lies between two 7Tew South Wales men and two Victorians.
