' The offering consisted of about 90 mares and . gelding's, and there was a large attendance of j buyeis from all parts of Otago, Southland, and j South Canterbury. The bidding was spirited, i and every lot found a buyer, the competition ! for the mares being exceptionally keen. ! Geldings brought up to £25 10s, and mares up 1 to £25 — the average over the lot reaching about | £14. The corporation may be congratulated I on such good values being realised.
