An accident happened to Sir Androw ! Fraser, Lieutenant-governor of Bombay, at ■ IMymensingh, on December 7. Stir Andrew, | the. Collector, acid the Maharaja were : driving in a barouche and four to the j Collector's house, when tho horses took a wrong turning, and when it was endeavoured to bring them, back they got out of control. The carriage- went partially down a bumd, i •ne of the leaders got 100-e, and finally tho j two wheelers turned Eharp round against the i carriage, which was overturned in the bund. I Sir Andrew and the Collector jumped out as the carriage went over, and landod on their feet . while the Maharaja of Mymeneingh was extricated without injury. All had a fortunate escape, es the carriage was eompletcly smashed.
An unusual incident took place at Eltham one d.iy last week at the burial of Stuart, tho victim at the Niel road accident On arrival at the cemetery H was discovered that no grave had been dug, and tha few mounters who were present had to sot to and dig the grave themselves.
