Notes from Roxburgh.
(From Our. Ov;n Correspondent.) ROXBUKGH, Januaiy 6. Welcome rain fell last night, and the ground has received a much-needed soaking. The K:ng No. 2 (lats Endea-. oui) dredge has been shifted to the bottom of her claim, and the manager intends to give it a trial. If payable gold is not struck the dredge will be taken down to the King No. 1 claim. Mr A. Magnus has been appointed dredgemaster, and 1 am confident a more capable man could not be found on the river. The Lady Koxburgh diedge has been overhauling during the holidays, and will be ready for ano'.her start 111 a fey days. The Jubilee diedge is working steadily, snd is still on fair wash.
