It was decided to le-offer suburban sections in town of Lumsden at £2 per acre. The foimer price was £5. Mr Kinross and Ranger Campbell reported favourably on application of W. Cawthorne for section 43, block XV, Invercargill, at £2 per annum, aa a site for a fellmongery. — Held over. The application of George Young for sawmill site on, and tramwaj right through, native reserve and bush reserve on west side of Waiau river, was 'eft in the hands of the Commissioner. Permission was granted Mrs Alex. King to reside on sections 1 and 2, bock I, Longwood, owing to the contiguity of the section to a leaso transferred to her. A. E. Otway was granted the Tight to cut flax for one year at £5 rental on unleased islands in Waiau River from Drummond's ferry to boundary of Bennett's lease with right of renewal for other two years. It was decided to recommend the Government to reserve sections 1 to 9, inclusive, block XIII, town of Riverton, for railway purposes. It was decided to inform a settler at Papatotara that if the rates clue by him. to the Wallace County Council were not paid the section would bo forfeited. The offer of Robert Parsons of 3d per acre for l.i.p. over sections 13 to 15, blook IV, Campbelltown Hundred, was held over for report from Ranger Campbell. Tall, section 8, block XIII, Oterarnika Hundred; James Philhpson, junr., sections 3 to 6 and 10, block XXIII, Waimatua. V.S. (subject to payment of £9 Is .valuation for improvements immediately and balance m six months); Margaret Cameron, pastoral run 394 a, Eyre district (receiver authorised to pay over valuation, for improvements, £22 163, to N.Z. Agricultural Company). Titles were approved as follows: — Mrs E. Wood, section 17, block 111, Seaward Bush, and C. Rankin, sections 3 to 6, and W. D. Singer, 125 and 127, block I, Paterson. The Under-secretary having approved of application of R. H. and F. W. James to buddivide section 156, block I, Paterson, and transfer to Mrs E. Hicks, it was decided that tho necessary action be taken. Transfers were approved as follows: — Section 3, block VII, Wendonside, from James Stevenson to Henry Miller; pasiOral run 524, Hokonui, Samuel Butson to "W. H. Gibson ; section 4, block VI, Flint's Bush township, Elizabeth Foley to Robert Stuart; section 6, block I, and 10, block 11, Flint's Bush, William Foley to John Stuart; 4, block VIII, Wendonside, Alex. Smith to Jno. A. Dickie; section 5 dt 243, Hokonui, Mrs F. Ross to K. Ross; section 22, block VIII, Wendonside, M. Shea to Mr 3 M. Hall. The application for transfer of pastoral runs at To Anau, etc., from E. Melland to W. H. Keaoh, was refused, the" necessary fee not having been lodged. The surrender of B. Ward of lease of section 11, block VII, Longwood, was accepted, and it was decided that all unsold sections in Longwood village settlement be re-valued. The receiver was authorised to pay over thirds and fourths amounting to £8 to the Knapdale Road Board. J. O'Neill and nine others complained that the thirds and fourths on their sections were not beirig expended on the road to them. — Copy >t Tetter to be forwarded to chairman of Southland County Council for information.
