GOOD-SIGHT.

No sweet voice to say good-night, Or wish me sleep in peace, No loving eye 3to look in mine To banish care and grief. No soft yielding hand to press, Or at the parting hour Find a home for a white rose Just budding into flower. No red lips to meet mine own, Then softly whisper, "Love, You are mine, still mine in death, As I shall always prove." Then it cannot be good night Until she wills it so ; In dreams I see her spirit, On waking it does go. Good-night, tpirit of my love, To come again in sleep ; My soul hhall see yours in rest, Then nearer to it creep. C. J. Beaithwaite. Dunedin, August, 1903.
