THE IRISH LAND BILL LONDON, August 4.
In the House of Lords the Irish Land Bill was read a second time without division.
The Duke of Devonshire and Lord Lansdowne warned the Hou.se that the Government was unable to make auj substantial amendments in the bill without destroying the measure, which was in the nature of a treaty.
