THE COTTON CORNER
LOXDOX, July 3. Mr J. P. Brown, who controls the cotton corner, paid ca<-h for 88,900 bales of cotton at the market price. This is a record transaction in the history of cotton. NEW YORK, July 4. The American cotton crop has improved three points since May, but is still eight points below the last 10 years' average.
