THE SALE OF COCKSFOOT
The Akaroa correspondent of the Christchurch Press slates that a large meeting of farmers was held at Duvaucheiles on Saturday for the purpose of forming a co-operative company to deal with the future cocksfoot cropsx Mr Bf.ker, who has been the promoter of the scheme, reported regarding his visits to the several bays. He stated that over 40,000 sacks had been pledged out of the total average production, which was stated to be 65,000 sacks. A committeo was appointed, a prospectus drafted, and provisional directors appointed of a company with a capital of £3L>,000.
