ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

E.. T. Earl, Oamnru.— Many thanks for your prompt attention. As this column goes to press early, I was reluctantly obliged to condense your report. Shall be very glad, to receive scores of games. J. Mason, Pa.lmerston North. — G-lcd to hear from you at any time. Do not retract statement made in this column that Palmeraton North is a "borough." As a matter of fact it was so conslituded by Proclamation in Now Zealand Gazette of 12th July, 1877, and is thus described in the First Schedulo to "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900."
