April 10. — The regular meeting- of the Road Beard was attendf-d by Messis Ross (chairman), Fnirbairn, Walker, Biddell, and Gunn. The clerk was instructed to supply the surfaceman with necessary tools. It was resolved to invite tenders for a cutting on Main road at Mr M'Gregor's, and a filling in at Mr "Weipers's at Sandymount, also 50 yards of metal for Shaw's road. The clerk was instructed to request Mr A. Brown to commence his contract on Camp road within seven daya The returning officer was lcstructed to take -the necessary steps for the election of members who retire by effluxion of time, to be held 111 the first week in May next. Accounts were passed for payment for £31 17s 3d.
