YOUNG claim to do. Farther, they claim that no Other Firm in New Zealand in the same line of business is on an equal footing ivith them for. so doing, for the following reasons : — 1. 6. and T. YOUNG buy for Cash and secure all Discounts, both trade and cash. 2. G. and T. YOUNG bny frcm the Actual Manufacturers in Britain, .America, and on the Continent. S. G. and T. YOUNG bny in Quantities, and thus obtain the best discounts. They have the Largest. Watch and Jewellery Business in Dunedin, also large Establishments in Wellington, Timaru, and Oamaru, i. G. and T. YOUNG'S buyer (Mr GEORGE YOUNG) is an experienced buyer, having bought for the Firm for the last 26 years. He knows where to purchase ihe best and cheapest Goods and the proper price to pay for them. Further, Mr GEORGE YOUKG, being a Partner in the busint ss, is careful to send only such goods as will give satisfaction to the Firm's customers here. t. Mr GEORGE YOUNG resides in England, and is therefore always at hand to pick up the Newest goods as soon as manu- , factored, and often these are on the way to -New Zealand before any similar goods cave been shown in the Home Shops. 9. G. and T. YOUNG, by buying for Cash, buying from the actual mannfcicturers, buying in quantities, by having an experienced «nd competent Buyer, by having no commissions to pay for buying, are able to land their goods in the' colony at the lowest possible prices, and consequently fulfil the first condition mentioned — viz., buying* well. How, as to being able to sell at the LOWEST PRICES— G. and T. YOUNG'S business in New Zealand is economically managed. They have no expensive managers to pay. Each manager is an interested party and a worker, consequently it is their individual interest to keep down expenses. G. and T. YOUNG'S buyer periodically visits the colony to keep himself in touch with its requirements, and is thus able to avoid sending nnsuitable or bad stock ; hence G. and T. YOUNG have to make no provision for same, and are thus able to mark their goods at the lowest profits ; and to show that these profits have been reasonable, they have only to mention that they have kept the confidence of their patrons for a period of 41 years and increased the business to a very large degree. From Ihe above it will be clearly seen that it is to any purchaser's interest to patronise this old-established Firm. By to doing they will get a variety and choice of goods not to be seen in any othe r jeweller's shop in the colcny. They will find in G. and T. YOUNG'S stock goods from nearly all the leading manufacturers, and the very choicest goods at that. G. and T. YOUNG have no hesitation in saying that patrons will not get anything better in the best Shops in either London or EdinburghTo prove the quality of the Goods kept by G. and T. Young they need only mention that at the N.Z. Exhibition, 1865, they obtained First Prize for Watches and Clocks. At the N.Z. and S.S. Exhibition, 1889-90, they again obtained First Prize for Watches and Clocks ; also four ether First-class Awards, viz. :— For Gold and Silver Jewellery. • For English, French, and American Clocks. \ For Sterling Silver and Silver-plated Goods. For Collective Exhibit. Bear in mind, large as G. and T. YOUNG'S shop is, it is not large enough for them to display all their stock. They have 2ptS Of goods in reserve, and it is only necessary for you to mention what yon want and they will show you ample Choice. Also, bear -in uiiod, your are sure of getting value for your money at this establishment. G. and T. YOUNG have given you facts to prove that they sell at lowest prices, and they confidently challenge competition either as to price or quality with any Firm— EVEN WITH THOSE WHO ADVERTISE THAT THEY PELL AT 20 TO 40 PER CENT. LOWER THAN ANYONE ELSE. For quality, newness, and variety of design no other stock in Dunedin can be compared with that shown by G. and T. YOUNG. G. and T. YOUNG feel assured that their Prices are absolutely the Lowest in Dunedin, and they cordially Invite you to visit their Establishment, and inspect and compare the Goods and Prices with those shown •lsewhere. Orders from the Country receive the prompt attention of one of the Partners. All goods which can b# sent by Letter »r Parcel Post arc sent Carriage Paid to any part of the Colony. Now, as to REPAIRS, G. andT. YOUNG keep a staff of Experienced -Watchmakers and Jewellers, and these departments are under the immediate supervision of Mr THOMAS G. YOUNG, a practical Watchmaker. WATCHES Examined, Cleaned, and Repaired at Specially Low Rates. All kinds of JEWELLERY Mannf ictured and Repaired on the Premises. Good Work given and Moderate Charges made. G. and T. YOUNG keep a large lot of First-class Diamonds and other Precious Stones, and can always make up on short BOtice any particnlar article of Jewellery required. The OPTICAL DEPARTMENT is under the charge of Mr WALTER H. YOUNG— a practical Optician. All tinds of Spectacles made up to Doctors' prescriptions. G. & I. YOUNG have been appointed WATCHMAKERS and OPTICIANS to his Excellency the Governor, Lord RANFURLY. NEW GOODS ARRIVE EVERY FORTNIGHT
