AUCKLAND.
The returns for the Northern Maori electorate so far show -that Hone Heke received 1171 votes. None of the, others have polled 200. There are 14 returns to come in, but they cannot affect the result.
The late Richard Bertram bequeathed • £275 each to St. George's Church (Thames), St. George's Sunday School (Thames), Thames Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, Old" Men's Refuge (Thames), Auckland Benevolent Society, Blind Institute, Society for the" Protection of Women and Children, Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid ; total, about £2220.
